ABOUT ME

I am currently living in Spain, teaching English to primary school children. I work in a small school in a very small village (only 1000 people!) about 50 km outside of Madrid. Since I live in the city, I get to take a bus everday and I love it! I pass by meadows filled with wild flowers, babbling brooks, all sorts of animals, and reach my school at the foot of the mountains. If I am lucky, (and if it's rained or snowed the night before), I usually see a rainbow or two!

I am an easy going person and enjoy getting to meet new people. I love running, reading, and going to the theater. My favorite kinds of nights usually involve wine and cheese or dancing, or both! I worked in a biology research lab for two years before I moved to Spain.

Some interesting facts about me: When I was younger, I participated in a program called 4-H and trained llamas to be therapy animals for old and disabled persons. I also used to volunteer at a living history museum...I would dress up as a little pioneer girl and demonstrate early pioneer life in Colorado to visitors. I know how to build a log cabin and bake pies over a fire!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I do not have a couch for people to sleep on, but I would like the opportunity to surf on other people's couches as I travel throughout Europe this summer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have hosted a few friends in madrid and couchsurfed in santander, spain for a weekend. it's been a great experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i love sunsets. so i like to see one where ever i travel to. the best one lasted the entire flight from spain to copenhagen.

i know how bake a cake and make icing from scratch. i used to make bear shaped cakes for my friends birthdays!
