About Me

Hi there,

I'm Sarah and initially German but having studied previously for two years in Dublin, where I adored everything from the pure green landscape to the crazy way of Irish life a lot.
During my studies, I also lived some time in the UK, Madrid, Berlin and Sweden. In October I'm going to start my next adventure of working for Google in Dublin.

I’m enthusiastic about getting to know new cultures and forming lifelong-lasting relationships. My passions are travelling and singing and if you always wanted to learn how to do Irish Dancing, I’d be very happy to teach you some skills!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of couchsurfing of travelling, discovering new places and making friends with different people and their cultures all over the world while staying at a local's place and at the same time giving something back in terms of cooking etc. for the hosts or sharing adventurous life stories ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 14 years old, I and some friends went on a backpacking trip without taking any food, money or tent with us. In order to survive and get some food, we were singing on the streets, mowing peoples’ gardens and carrying their shopping bags home. We slept in the forests or in front of fisherman sheds besides a lake. As it was one of the hottest weeks of the year (40°C) we were all craving to get a shower somewhere. Eventually we ended up at a horse farm asking the people there whether we could use their shower. They denied. So we asked them whether we could use the water tube they were using to spray-wash the horses. They agreed. So eventually we ended up standing next to a dunghill on that horse farm, in a bikini, enjoying a cold shower while the horses were giving us a funny look. This was one of the best weeks of my life, we all bonded even more and got home smelling really bad but being happy.
