About Me
CURRENT MISSION
***I do not accept solo males or groups of male-only travelers.****
♡ To travel as much as I can around the world on a budget, all while making new friends and experiencing the best that this earth and its people have to offer. ♡
ABOUT ME
I have been in healthcare (nursing) for over 15 years now. I am a happy free spirit, traveller, lover, frugal spender, adventurer, am spontaneous, bubbly and have a big smile (and an even bigger heart). I speak English and moderately fluent in French.
PHILOSOPHY
Do onto others as you would have done onto you. Love all, no one is better than the other. A good experience benefits everyone, which is why Couchsurfing is amazing.
“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” ~Terry Pratchett
It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” ~Ernest Hemingway
“Every dreamer knows that it is entirely possible to be homesick for a place you've never been to, perhaps more homesick than for familiar ground.” ~ Judith Thurman
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Right now, I would graciously host someone on my sofa (bedding provided- if you have a pillow that's awesome)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not couchsurfed yet but am a huge fan of www.airbnb.com and use that to travel... I have hosted an activity in my city and look forward to hosting more, it is a great way to meet new and amazing people!

Music, Movies, and Books
Gone with the Wind is my #1 book. I am afraid to watch the movie and be disappointed so I avoid it hah! I love John Steinbeck books. I have read all of Sidney Sheldon's works. I love the bible. I don't care for sci-fi books. Love the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit trilogy (books and movies). I love funny, action, romance and mystery movies. I am not a fan of horror or raunchy films.
As far as my musical tastes, I love folk, Indie, and country music genres the most. I am a country music lover at heart. I also love Mumford and Sons, Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes,etc..... and lots of 80's and 90's bands because they make me happy :) ♡
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
♡♡ A few of my fondest memories are watching a polar bear sunbathe in the Arctic. Another was spending two days watching the sunset and sunrise while standing on the very rim of the Grand Canyon. I also snorkeled in the coral and saw amazing fish in Hanauma Bay, Hawai'i, and climbed the top of an old volcano, Diamond Head Crater. ♡♡
I have been limited to North America so far but have seen most of the east coast from Northern Quebec as far south as New York), as well as nearly two weeks in Hawai'i, on the island of Oahu. I also flew for a vacation to Dominican Republic, have seen 90% of the North American West Coast (from BC to southern California) and the have been all over the Canadian Arctic. I have also been across Canada, except Manitoba and Saskatchewan, unless airport layovers count :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge of my city, a warm friendly home, a laugh, a drink, a tour of my city. Guidance of where to go and what to do. Love of nature and people.
Extra points to those who yell "PINEAPPLE!!" when messaging me for a place to stay, it means you read my whole profile. I will make your stay extra special
