About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living life to its absolute fullest!

ABOUT ME

Last year I graduated from Saint Louis University in Missouri. Since then I've been applying to medical schools, working in a research lab at the Center for World Health and Medicine, and enjoying a bit of a break from school before diving back in.

As a person I'm quite laid back and not easily offended at all. I LOVE trying new things, which is perhaps why I enjoy traveling so much. One of my favorite quotes is "The World is a book and those who do not travel read only a page" (St. Augustine).

PHILOSOPHY

Life's philosophy: I do not choose to be a common man; it is my right to be uncommon if I can...and the rest of Dean Alfange's "Creed." For me, those words mean seeking opportunities where others may not, and daring to be different and follow dreams, no matter how out-of-reach they may seem at the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie...you may call me a noob. However, as I LOVE traveling I am really looking forward to utilizing this sight to meet some pretty interesting people, form some friendships, and enjoy hearing stories from different parts of the world!

Interests

Reading (especially if it's raining outside, and there's a nice fire going)!!! I love learning--I crave it. I am naturally curious, but not nosy. I like asking questions, keeping an open mind, etc. My musical interests vary extensively from hip-hop to classical symphony to Irish jigs. I play piano and violin (a little bit!), and LOVE being outside in nature. Swimming and jiu-jitsu are also hobbies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessed the miracle of a birth. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm afraid I'm not much of a chef...foods have a tendency to charcoal when I attempt to prepare them. Baking's not much better. However, depending on what tools are available I can teach a couple songs on the piano (beginner/intermediate), recite long verses of poetry to entertain, or teach one how to lock an opponent in an arm bar.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Spain, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
