Overview
About Me
I'm an HIV researcher shooting for med school and trying to fit in seeing the world as much as I can in the meantime! I did a solo backpacking trip in Vietnam/Thailand for 2 months during summer of 2012, 4 months in Europe in summer 2014, 3 months in South America during summer 2015, and 2 months again in Europe in summer 2017!
I'm Vietnamese, Japanese and Irish, with a black step-grandfather, so I feel like my mixed family has really influenced my love of travel and learning about other cultures! :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Always do what you are afraid to do... Do the thing we fear, and death of fear is certain." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I studied abroad in Berlin for 5 weeks during the summer of 2014 and went on a 3 month Eurotrip afterwards and I really credit Couchsurfing for making that summer one I will never forget. I couchsurfed for 40+ days straight and I would do it again in a heartbeat!! I hope that I can give other people the same incredible experience that I had :)
Interests
CONCERTS. Believe it or not I'm a complete metalhead and a rave-lover haha so I love everything from heavy metal concerts to EDM fueled raves! Hip hop and R&B are also in the mix.
Love going to the beach, hiking, and pretty much everything outdoorsy! Love finding and exploring hidden/unknown nooks and crannies :D Cooking is also a passion of mine so if you love home cooked Asian food (I can do Vietnamese and Japanese) I gotchu!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
