About Me
Eduardo Galeano once said: “Utopia is on the horizon. I move two steps closer; it moves two steps further away. I walk another ten steps and the horizon runs ten steps further away. As much as I may walk, I'll never reach it. So what's the point of utopia? The point is this: to keep walking.”
This quote describes well my attitude towards life. I keep on walking. Because I love life and because I think together we can always fix things that are going wrong - on the small and on the big scale.
I work for an organization which implements transformation processes towards sustainable economic systems. I have a son who is going to the kindergarden and a partner. Originally I am from the very South of Germany. I still miss the alps and the lakes, but after ten years living in Bonn it has become my adopted homeland.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I do not do couchsurfing because I want to stay somewhere for free. I do it because I like the spirit. I like it to be get to know new places out of the perpective of locals, not just turists. I am curious to get to know the person where I am staying or who is staying with me...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a trip from Argentina to Mexico by Bus and sailing boat, doing couchsurfing in 2011. It was an unbelievable experience that gave me hope that there is still potential for solidarity and humanness in this world.
