ABOUT ME

I just finished 27 months of service with the U.S. Peace Corps in Ararat Marz, Armenia. I was a community health educator and lived in a small village of 2,000.

After leaving Armenia in late July I traveled to Moscow and took the TranSiberian railway through Russia and into Mongolia. From there, I went to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and Hong Kong. I returned home in mid August and am looking to relocate in Seattle, Washington.

My favorite things to do are: ride my bicycle, hike, run and make greeting cards.

I am a Christian and enjoy volunteering in my free time. I am close to my family and love sharing holidays at home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My greatest (and only) CS experience took place in Kiev, Ukraine. Anna, our host became a great friend and was an excellent host. I love couch surfing, and when I finally have a couch I'll be able to host again.

I'm interested in foreign languages, foreign cultures, the Olympics, gender development, exercise and nutrition.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is Life is Beautiful and the most recent book I read is What is the What.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the fall of 2007 I ran the Athens Marathon--granted hundreds of thousands of people run a marathon each year, but it was a pretty amazing experience for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak advanced Armenian and am more than happy to teach it to others. I'd like to learn how to play the piano and I could really benefit from Spanish practice.
