About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have an amazing summer in CO!
ABOUT ME
I'm currently a student at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. I recently hiked 1700 miles of the Appalachian Trail from GA to NH in 2013. Now I'm back in school and craving adventure.
PHILOSOPHY
"Give me a place to stand, and I shall move the Earth"- Archimedes
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't have much time to travel, besides winter break and summer. But while I am in Gainesville, I do try to host anyone that sends me a request.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed while traveling to different places. I've only hosted people during Fest (a punk music festival here in Gainesville.) One night I think there were about 8 people. It was a blast.
Interests
Backpacking! Hiking, camping, riding my bike, wandering, staring at the clouds, rock climbing, math, laying in the sun, going to the beach, cup cakes, water, sustainability, environmental activism.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a Netflix-er, and I don't have cable. Sometimes I rent movies. It has to be a really crappy day outside for me to be inside watching movies.
I like to read random books I've found at thrift stores.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The sign on top of Mount Katahdin in Maine- the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. The way I felt as I saw that sign after 5.5 months of hiking towards it....was indescribable! In general though, the entire hike was absolutely amazing. The connections I made with those I hiked with will last a lifetime.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn everything there is to learn!
