About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
Hey there my fellow human:)
I am Sarah, 25, and right now am living in Cologne, Germany in the tiniest flat with two other flatmates.
Finishing my Degree in Physics this year, currently am taking a break from studying . Plainly because I do not know what to do. :D I work at a cute burgerplace and here and there.
I like joking around, am openminded, relaxed and always ready to help out and work. Very easy to distract by life and what it has to offer. I try to be easy going, in life. But sometimes get caught up in stress. Shit happens.

While I have some trouble opening up to people it usually doesn't take to long for me to start feeling comfortable and i genuinely enjoy meeting and making new friends.

To sum up how I ended up in my current situation:
I started but stopped studying Mathenaticsin Cologne after 3 Semesters.
Worked as an Aupair for a lovely Family in Sydney for 9 months.
Returned to Germany and decided to continue my the madness I have started and studied Physics.
I am not sure how life will go from here. But I do know that I am not done traveling yet. The next adventure is lurking around the next corner in no time.

PHILOSOPHY

what could possibly go wrong:D
Für jede Schnapsidee zu haben, Freunde.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm actually not really sure how I ended up here, but I"ve given it a try and loved it. I have the feeling you tend to see more of the places you are visiting . So far still very new to couchsurfing, but I'm curious for more.

Couchsurfing so far:
- Carolina (Melbourne)
-Elizabeth (Broken Hill)
-Dough( Surfers Paradise)

Interests

I love seaturtles. They are the angriest yet most calming creatures I have encountered. the fact that they climb, jump and topple down cliffs to lay there eggs and are properly not the most intelligent creatures continues to mesmerize me. In addition the sea is also a big topic for me. It just calms me. All the pretty waves and blues.
Going along with this theme I am aware of the waste we produce and try living zero-waste in small steps as good as it goes.

While i most definetly do not have a green thumb i enjoy slowly kindling my room into a jungle till the green foliage will swallow me alife one day.

Sports. Yes please. I love swimming, bouldering, rowing.
I have attempted poledancing, surfing, balley, boxing, ...

I enjoy painting and photography. I like my art very colorfull and lively. And usually take my fisheye camera with me. The wide angle just makes for the funniest pictures.
When I visit a new city i tend to have a look at the Modern art museum. They are always a wild ride:D

I am always up to new things:D And do not miss to execute any crazy ideas that get thrown at me.

And last but not least, this all leads to traveling. I wish adventurer was a real job:D

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not picky when it comes to music, which i have to admit shamefully. And one day I will work on this issue:D

Still in love with: Django unchained

My forever favourite: Fightclub

And a newish movie that i really enjoyed: Call me by your name

...and of course,..series: One Punch Man, Prison Break....a long list

It's hard to always keep track of all the favourite books, there are a few. And by a few I mean a shitton;)
Brandon Sanderson is brilliant.
The game of thrones disaster/saga.
Skullduggery Pleasant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef has been pretty amazing^^

seeing a small dolphin family while paddleboarding

Living and working with seaturtles in Cabo verde, helping with the hatchinglings and working with the nesting females. I am sure I will bring it up and will tell you all about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm pretty sure there are quiet a few things I should be able to teach. A few polish, german or Japanese phrases,

Learn: I am open to absorb new things like a sponge:D I always hava a lot of questions. But currently I am tackling portuguese and am really interested in starting to play the ukulele. Small instruments. Who would have thought, huh.

Share: Time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well my sparkling personality on all times. I can draw quiet alright and on good days I even manage portraits:) A epic polish meal(pierogi) or just some pancakes. I'm sure there"s more.
