About Me

“I am going to look 50 when I'm 30...because I'm going to be full of experiences" - Jessa, Girls

With a hyper-awareness of my own mortality, my aim is to seek and live out as many corners of life as possible before I kick the bucket.

Since finishing University I have been oscillating between work and travel, my latest trip lasting 16 months spanning 11 countries. I'm now back in England working as a live-in carer and sleeping on my parents sofa (until I finish converting their garage) or traveling on my days off.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet local people and local places, share stories and experiences, create new memories and save some moolah whilst I'm at it!

Music, Movies, and Books

 MUSIC

I mostly listen to alternative music but I'm far from limited to that. Feel free to check out my Lastfm profile to get an idea of the kind of stuff I'm into: http://www.last.fm/user/bearroused

Nothing makes me happier than finding someone with a similar music taste to me and/or sharing new music.

FILMS

My favourite film director is Richard Linklater, I think the dialogue is brilliant and I love the philosophical themes that run throughout. Top 5 favourite films are Mr. Nobody, Before Sunrise, Blue Valentine, The Shining and Being John Malkovich.

BOOKS

Recurrent themes tend to be LSD/anything political/ultraviolence. Top 5 favourite books are Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, A Clockwork Orange, Slaughterhouse 5, Animal Farm and American Psycho
