ABOUT ME

I'm terribly curious, a bit nerdy and interested in a lot of things. I did fencing, diving, icelandic-horse-riding; from time to time I still do sailing, painting, writing; but my main interest is dancing (bal folk, ballroom, belly dancing, a bit show dancing and 10 weeks of tango argentino) and music. I mainly enjoy traditional unplugged music, no matter where from, but I have a particular interest in french traditional song, irish sean-nós and music from Antiquity to Baroque.

I'm both looking for nice people to be a host to and for possibilities of cheap accomodation and getting in touch with the locals when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Somehow, home feels more like home when you share it with a stranger. I've hosted a bit, showed people around Vienna and surfed two times.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like Edgar Allen Poe, both his short stories and poems; I generally enjoy english language classics and the occasional science-fiction book. And I've read almost all Pratchett books. Currently I've got a thing for Fred Vargas.

When diving in Thailand, I saw a fish turn its skin inside out to escape.

Basics in irish gaelic or any other language (just that my rrr is really bad)
