About Me
CURRENT MISSION
City Centre Artsy Queen: let's meet up.
ABOUT ME
Positive and artsy Brit from NW of England and lived in London for 9 years. I've loved travelling in Africa, the US and Canada, Australia, Europe and SE Asia. I moved to Manchester for my post-grad and stayed.
I'm a massive fan of spicy food (and am q handy in the kitchen), travel, music and chat. I've got some super friends and love living in Manchester's arty Northern Quarter (city centre, cafes, bars and vintage clothes shops.
I've got a great and welcoming circle of friends here - arty, musical, academic and runners... I like world music, funk, soul and indie so if you're interested in finding out what's on - even if I'm not going - I can be quite helpful.
PHILOSOPHY
Bite the bullet and do it. (Naturally, this philsophy sometimes bites back.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed people's houses /met for coffee, beer, gigs, etc and have loved the chat and exchange of cultures.
I loved experiences like cooking in Kenya for my host and fellow CSers and finding out I was the only one who could manage the amount of chillies I put in the food...
I now return the hosting experience as best I can as well as taking shorter surfing breaks.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Tanzania, Namibia, Kenya, Thailand, Laos, US, Finland, Vietnam and Canada and hooked up with CS friends in Bangkok, Laos, Uganda, Barbados and Vietnam. I've also used CS to ask for hairdresser /restaurant recommendations...
I meet people in Manc for coffees/beers and occasionally host.
