Overview
About Me
I'm a postgrad archaeology student who travels a lot, for work or leisure. I want to visit as many places as I can, because I find the diversity of the world fascinating!
I can't host right now because I had to move into a studio appartment with just one bed but as soon as I have a couch again my door will be wide open :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because it represents everything I love about travelling: meeting locals or other wanderers like me, seeing a place from the people's point of view, and being able to crash at someone's place at the last minute because I love travelling on a whim without planning everything! Human-sized holidays is what I'm all about.
I'm also very invested in ecology and a firm believer in making my impact on the world as sustainable as possible, while sharing skills, resources and experiences equally among people. Couchsurfing is just one aspect of this, but an important one: sharing your daily life with strangers can bring us all one step closer to a more sustainable and compassionate world.
Interests
As an archaeologist I'm obviously into all things historical and archaeological, and in general pretty much my whole life revolves around culture, whether it's visiting museums, reading about anthropology or painting canvases. I can't say I'm very talented, but I'm definitely creative, and everything involving some type of manual work (painting, crafting, sewing, cooking, gardening, woodworking, house building...) interests me. A huge part of my interest in travelling also relies on landscapes,
- arts
- culture
- cooking
- traveling
- socializing
- painting
- ecology
- history
- landscapes
- painting and drawing
Music, Movies, and Books
As unoriginal as it sounds, I have very eclectic tastes in all things. I like to try it before I toss it, and I think there's good to find in everything! So you'll rarely find me rejecting something because of the label on it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've travelled on my own a few times (Peru, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Greece...) and each time was a really, really amazing moment for me. I also spend summers on archaeological digs and it's absolutely awesome. I'm sure we'll find interesting stories to swap !
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a relatively average cook but I can teach you about a lot of other things, if you teach me in return. I'm curious about everything and I'll always be happy to hear new stories and learn new tricks.
