ABOUT ME

I am very open to trying new things. I would rather be doing something that is engaging my mind and body. I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing different perspectives. I graduated from Ohio University, worked as a news reporter in North Dakota for 18 months and, for family reasons, now am living back in Ohio, looking for a news reporting gig.

PHILOSOPHY

Always be learning something new. Try not to discount anything before you have tried it or made an effort to understand it. Don't be afraid to embrace discomforting situations when you can learn from them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not yet hosted anyone in my home, but will be excited to do so now that I am settled into my home in Columbus.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only stayed with one other Couchsurfer, and it was an excellent experience! I stayed with this person when I moved to North Dakota before my lease started. She made me feel at home in a new city and introduced me to life there.

Interests

My interests include the outdoors (hiking, swimming, camping, gardening, bike riding); writing; reading anything from fiction to discursive essays; dancing swing, salsa, and contra; playing sports; and spending time with friends and family. I will never turn down a game of Euchre and enjoy playing tactical board games as well.
