Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm originally from the mid-west and even though I will always value my mid-west upbringing, I knew one day it would be too small to hold me. The first chance I got, I sprinted for the LA coast in search of new foods, music, people, culture and anything and everything I could soak in. This satisfied my thirst while I focused on my career. However, it was this "career" that got in my way of continuing my ever-growing need to "get-out" and learn more, see more, do more. I became complacent. A slave to the industry that I called a career. Years later, I realized I didn't enjoy this "career" as much as I once had. I'd lost my inspiration and I was burnt out. Why? Because I had missed out on so many opportunities to see the world. I had stopped growing. So I stopped the cycle and again went in search of something to filfull my urges. I'm still searching, but I'm finding my way. All of this brought me here...to couchsurfing. I have only hosted, but I look forward to meeting more fellow couchsurfers out on the road in the near future.
