About Me
CURRENT MISSION
20 something travel loving young woman who wants to see as much of the world as possible. Teaching English in Spain and tackling translation projects (Spanish>English>Spanish) to be able to fund my travels and enjoy life.
ABOUT ME
I'm Sarah. I am a graduate of Jacksonville University in Florida where I studied Economics and Spanish. I love learning new languages, trying new things and meeting new people. Ever since I studied abroad here in Spain I have fallen in love with traveling and I love how diverse Europe is.
I hope to one day work as a full-time Spanish to English translator and would love to call Spain my home for several years. My list of places to see in the world only gets longer by the year so who knows where I may finally settle down. Writing and learning languages are my two biggest passions. I plan to write at least one book in my lifetime and I hope to do that before age 30! Would love to become multi-lingual and add Portuguese and Arabic to my skill set! :)
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that everything in life that happens to a person happens for a reason, both the good and the bad. I love learning new languages and meeting new people. There is always an opportunity to grow and learn something new from everyone you meet in life. Treat people the way you wish to be treated!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to hosting on couchsurfing but I been familiar with the website for a few years. I stayed with three different hosts in Southern Spain and Portugal in 2013. I had amazing hosts who were very fun to talk to and very hospitable. I would love to return the favor and host someone at my home in Ohio one day if possible. Or anywhere else I am living in the world
visited 32 states (64%)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled across the United States with my parents and brother when I was a child from Ohio to California. I discovered the diversity of my country at an early age and have appreciated it ever since. We saw things like the Grand Canyon, the mountains, plains, fields and desert. Thanks to that trip, and many trips to visit my grandparents living in Nebraska, I've been to 30+ states. I've gone on mission trips to Mexico, went away to college in Florida by myself and traveled and studied in Spain and did some traveling by myself but I´ve made friends along the way. I prefer to invest in people more than in things or sights to see. So, in a way you could say that I collect people and experiences along the way instead of souvenirs.
