Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For me, CouchSurfing really made my most recent trip through Eastern Europe worthwhile - being able to get the insider info and friendship in countries that I had never been to before was by far the best way to go about my travels. I have made so many friends along the way, and would never have had the same experiences without my lovely hosts.

Interests

I spend a large chunk of my time working at one of my three Waitressing jobs; apart from that, I volunteer with Refugees, and also with the United Nations Youth Association of Tasmania. I also spend a lot of time reading and listening to loud music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading the 'classic' novels and literature, so at the moment that's my specialty; I just love the old, prose style of writing. Music-wise I like it Epic, Soulful, or super chilled out.

Favourite Books: The Great Gatsby, Darkness at Noon, The Beautiful and the Damned, Crimes Against Humanity, Inferno, Lolita, Fathers and Sons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the sun rise over the hills of Sarajevo to the sounds of the Mosques' call to prayer.

Starting a rave in a U Bahn Station with a shoppıng trolley full of dubstep in Berlin

Visiting a traditional Turkish (public) Bath in Istanbul

I know my way around Hobart and up the East Coast of Tasmania - having lived here for only 6 years I still remember what it's like to be a tourist and a resident! I love learning new languages so whatever you can share is always appreciated, and I love hearing about / experiencing different cultures and practises.
