Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." - Oscar Wilde
To build a sustainable compassionate community wherever I land.
I am a Jain. My life's motto is live and let live. Love all - Serve all. Non-violence is the highest religion. I try to live my life as sustainably as I possibly can. I am a practicing Vegan. I am always up for an adventure and will try anything twice! My passion in life is service. When I am not working or going to school you will find me volunteering for one cause or another.
PHILOSOPHY:
"Kankyo ni sayu sarenai tsuyoi shinnen o motsu koto."
Translation: "Hold strong convictions that cannot be altered by your circumstance."
"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world this makes it hard to plan a day."
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing to learn about the human experience. I believe we are not individuals in a vacuum, na we are who we are today because of our interactions with one another. As Desmond Tutu once said, "My humanity is bound with yours; for we can only be human together."
To expand my own point of view: "You'll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view." -Obi Wan Kenobi

Occasionally I will find the time to sit down and watch a good movie: The Seven Samurai, Dersu Uzala and Breakfast at Tiffany's are my current favorites. When I have the time I do watch some travel and home repair shows and I'm always up for a good laugh. I really don't keep up on the latest movies. I do enjoy a good old back and white, international films and cult classics.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I have traveled the world seen sites and wonders that most people only ever experience by skimming through a National Geographic.
I have traveled by Sampan through the Mekong Delta, danced on the Charles bridge in Prague, took a night river cruise on the Danube River, played soccer with Roma children in the streets of Romania, helped protect young women in Thailand from a life of prostitution, taught Cambodia history to a group of citizens at the National Museum and eat gelato at the foot of St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna. I also had the opportunity to meet HHTDL a few year back.
The above adventures have been some of the most amazing experiences in my life, but nothing by far has compared to a day with a true friend who you can roll down hills, tromp around barefoot in the mud, listening to the wildlife about you and build a small "working" raft out of an invasive species with.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I love Yoga and am always willing to teach a breathing/relaxation course.
When in Cambodia: Cambodia has always been one of my favorite countries and to have the opportunity to live here, explore and help the people of this great country; well I have to say I'm the luckiest. I live with a Khmer family near Boutum Sakor National Park.
Near me are many amazing opportunities for day or weekend trips to experience the wonders of this great country. Beaches, island hopping, jungle treks, waterfalls, animal watching, river cruises and the opportunity to be socially conscious with your travels by volunteering with me on projects with some amazing kids.
When in Arizona: Arizona has stolen my heart and I can't wait to show people around in a place that has everything! I went to school for archaeology and Arizona is known for its sites, you name it I've been there. I currently work in the AmeriCorps Program.
