Overview
About Me
Hello! I’m a 30 year old researcher, animal welfare worker, comedian and Burner )’(. I’ve always loved traveling and recently spent the earlier part of 2019 working at animal shelters in Vietnam and Thailand.
I completed my Master’s degree in Psychology from New York University and thought I had it all figured out. Until I realized that I wasn’t happy doing what I was doing and that I was destined to live a non-conventional life. I realized that I wanted my life to be about experiencing the unknown, meeting new people, involving animals to a larger degree, challenging myself and broadening my world view. I don’t see myself working a 9-5 job for the rest of my life. My goal in life has changed from being career focused to travel focused.
I’m conscientious, kind, humane - but also don’t take myself too seriously. A comedian involved in improv theater and stand up - I love it!
I also remain active and enjoy swimming, cycling, going to the gym and playing table tennis (ping pong). Love nature and the outdoors.
Staying positive is LIFE - always learning, always growing.
I have my own vegetable garden :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people outside of my circles and opinions. I don’t want to live in an echo chamber. Also I would love to show people how locals live and also experience that when I stay with locals.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m an eclectic person so my taste also varies. In music I range from deep techno, acid to minimal house —-> and go into hip hop very much!
Crash has to be one of my all time fav movies. And American beauty also (although now I don’t know how I feel about it after Kevin Spacey’s history of abuse).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 3 months volunteering at animal shelters in Vietnam and Thailand and traveling solo everywhere I went. I met some amazing animals and heard some really traumatic stories - but so grateful to have the opportunity to give back to them. I worked with cats and dogs - often abused, neglected, sick, disabled. I am so grateful to have had that opportunity.
Burning Man has been life changing. I go alone from Pakistan and it has totally shifted my worldview.
