Hosting couchsurfers has been so much fun! I am well-traveled, politically aware & love to meet new people and see new places. The next plan is a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico... so if you've been there, please visit and tell me all about it. Even if you haven't, I'd be happy to host you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just for fun. I guess this is the place to mention that I am not able to host people on Wednesday nights as I facilitate a Buddhist book discussion then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 1971, the only way to Lumbini (Nepal) from the east was to walk 12 miles, which I did on a lovely warm moonlit night, starting just after dark. Walking on the soft dusty road was wonderful as I slipped unseen past locals huddled around campfires on the side of the road. When I reached Lumbini it was near midnight. I unrolled my sleeping bag on a bench under the Bodhi tree at the Mayadevi temple and slept beautifully. The temple is now covered by a new building and the tree is gone as Nepal attempts to "improve" the site. Such a shame!
