About Me
Hi Everyone!!
My name is Sarang, i'm transgender/female of center human that loves music, the outdoors, meeting people, dancing, craft beer, and dressing fancy :)
What currently drives me is sustainability- I'm on a road trip across the U.S. working on permaculture farms and learning ecology through observation. My background is in engineering I'm always thinking about innovation and biomimicry.
Also want to find like-minded people and untouched natural sites. Currently the trip looks like MI >> NH >> MA >> KS >> CO >> NM >> ?? >> MI.
I play guitar, mandolin, uke, mallet percussion, and alot of other things I can get my hands on.
I love to cook..mainly breakfast/indian fusion, i'd love to trade recipes or cook together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was working in an auto company as a materials science engineer and wasn't that happy with the 9 to 5/being in the closet/working in plastics so i left and went to New Hampshire and am working in forest conservation.
I've been to Mexico City, India, Kenya, Canada, and have learned that its better to see places through the eyes of locals

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Kenya to help start local businesses and address unemployment and marginalized communities
But what I left with wasn't a badge or laundry list of things I "fixed" but a better understanding of what solidarity really is, and that western "truths" don't have supremacy over rich cultural values we have a lot to learn from and that I am humble to.
