COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very new to CS, just one week after i had joined it seemed as if CS disappeared...good job it's back and i can continue exploring this new world! i got introduced to it by my brother alessio, a member for a few years now....love the sharing feeling!
I like the idea of meeting people with similar interests to mine and one can generally say that couch surfers tend to see the world in the same way, through the love for travelling and most of all for open minded people.
I have met some amazing people through CS and made some precious friendships, rather than passing contacts.
both in surfing myself and hosting, i love it when you get that "connecting" feeling with the people i meet. i guess this is one of the reasons why i ended up with real friendships through CS, rather than just an easy travelling opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books

music and books a must in life! funk soul (especially 1978- 1982), norman jay "good times" style music, jazz ; all books capable of transporting the reader to different places, ages, feelings....loved jonathan safran foer's " very loud incredibly close" ; movies....there's too many....one of favourites, maybe "goodfellas"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent e weekend with an elderly couple i had met last year...fantastic fun and giving people i enjoyed being with despite the big age difference...going to bed one night, i was in the very next room to where they were sleeping and heard him cracking a joke and her laughing to the point she couldn't breath...
i will never forget that moment: getting to 80 years old and go to bed at night and fall asleep with such good harmony and happy feelings....that must be one great achievement.
