Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My intro to couch surfing came out of nowhere up near Boulder, Colorado, in the form of an Italian nomad. I'd gone for a run in Boulder canyon after climbing one day, did some people watching. The following day I was hiking around the Flatirons with a friend and recognized a bearded free-spirit type from the canyon the day before... we hiked past him, but then I listened to my gut and turned around and asked if he was biking in the canyon the previous day, to which he replied affirmatively. Somehow we jumped right in to the topic of climbing, and set up a climbing date for the following day with a couple guys I knew. This friend ended up on one of my friends' couches for a few days, and came camping/climbing with us, and made an authentic Italian dinner to share. Since he's moved on, life just hasn't been the same, so I've been taking in couchsurfers from Missouri, Nova Scotia, and France, as well as meeting the locals.

Interests

You'll find me up a rock face or shredding a snowy mountain on a good day. I love to play outside. I'm also a huge fan of biking for transportation, and get a huge kick out of biking to the train station to go to work. I read books.
