About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling to see the world through my eyes. Surfing to meet new people and exchange cultural values.

ABOUT ME

I am 29 years old engineer graduate with a master degree in computer science from India. Presently on a break and about to start again education next year. Trying to use my break period to travel in Australia.

As an adult I have mostly lived in India except the student exchange year I spent in Munich Germany. I extensively travelled across Europe , couch surfing every city I went to (check my references ;) ). I took a 15 days eurail pass while in Germany and travelled from Munich to Mannheim to Amsterdam Brussels Paris Barcelona Milan Rome Vatican Venice Pisa Florence Veinna and Budapest. In another trip I went from Munich to Prague to Kracow Wraklaw Warsaw. I have amazing stories to tell about each of my host and the city through their eyes.

In another trip I went from Munich to Tel Aviv Jerusalem Nazareth in Israel. I wanted to go to Jordan as well but my visa didn't allow me with the time I had.

In 2016 while in India I went to a solo backpacking trip to China for 15 days. Unfortunately I had to stay in hostels most of the time. Traveling to China was one of the most exciting recent memory I have. Its a whole new world out there.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and Let Live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Knowing someone from the city you are visiting is the best way to know the city. You not only see the monuments, but also you get to experience the people, their way of life. Coming from a multi cultural country as India, but still having almost everything different from Australian culture, its always exciting to sleep on some one else's couch or host someone in your place. I love experiencing both. :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I remember traveling first time in Europe in the summer of 2012. I knew about couch surfing that time but never tried it. Always stayed in a youth hostel. I did my first couch surfing later in December last year in Barcelona. My host was a very experienced, intelligent and smart guy. He took time to show us the city, tell us something about the culture, cuisine, music, dance, and most importantly people.

I can never forget that experience!!
I Travel as a traveler and not as a tourist and thus I realised that the best way to fulfill my thirst for a place will be to meet and get to know someone from the city. Before couch surfing it was almost impossible, but through this website, traveling is fun, exciting, memorable and cheaper :-)
