I am a fun-loving person who enjoys trying new things. I have a love for travel that began with studying abroad in Chile in high school. I later spent 7 months backpacking in South America where I met my husband. We would probably never go home if we could just travel all the time. I love hiking, backpacking, kayaking (basically any outdoorsy activity), cooking, reading, making music, seeing new places, exploring, and of course, meeting new people. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I speak very basic French, I am also learning portuguese. While I enjoy hanging out with couch surfers, I am currently completing a masters degree in education. I am happy to host, but you might not see much of me!

Soy una persona divertida, y me encanta probar cosas nuevas. Me ha encantado viajar desde que estudie de intercambio durante el liceo. Despues pase 7 meses mochileando en Sur America donde conoci a mi esposo. Creo que nunca iriamos a casa si podriamos viajar toda la vida. Me encanta pasar tiempo en la naturaleza, acampando, haciendo trekking, cocinando, leyendo, o haciendo musica. Tambien me gusta conocer a gente diferente y lugares diferentes.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I started on couchsurfing when I was travelling throughout South America for 7 months. Now I am living back in the states and use couchsurfing less frequently. However, I'd be interested in hosting people here or in using it occasionally when travelling.

Intereses

I love hiking, camping, kayaking, snowshoeing and basically any other outdoor activity. I also like to make people laugh, play clarinet, piano and the ukelele, and read. I love to learn to play new instruments and speak new languages. Recently, I've gotten more into cooking and baking as well as salsa dancing.

I know Spanish and English, and I am always willing to try to share those languages with anyone willing to learn. I also can share my cooking. I'd really like to learn portuguese. And I always love learning about where I am staying and the local culture.
