About Me

Hello! I live and work in San Francisco as a software developer. I've had the opportunity to live and visit in a variety of countries and love the new people I meet and experiences I have along the way. When I'm in the city, I like to run, wheel throw, climb, and read. When I'm local, I like to go hiking, backpacking, climbing, and all things outdoors in the Bay Area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a social person who loves traveling and meeting new people. Though I've yet to try Couchsurfing, I'd love to give it a try especially since I'll be traveling solo. I think it's always great to get a local's perspective and to hear and share some good stories :)

Interests

I enjoy the great outdoors (backpacking, camping, climbing, hiking, etc), wheel-throwing, and knitting. I love music and consume albums at ridiculous rates. I'm looking to get into meditation, yoga, and MMA as well and would love to explore those with any of my hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorites are hard... but here are some currents!

Currently listening to: Sam Cooke, Leon Bridges, and always looking for something new to jam to!
Currently reading: The Power by Naomi Alderman

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking for 9 days in Torres del Paine in Chile with my dad, raising Newfoundland dogs in Black Isle in Scotland, watching the sunset and moonrise at the same time across the desert horizon in Joshua Tree in California.. There's so many great things - how can I pick just one??

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to teach you some biology or coding or to share something local from my previous destination! I can also try to teach you some of my mom's home recipes/Shanghainese cooking, but I gotta be honest and say that I have a lot of learning to do myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good stories, good cooking/baking, helping with the household chores, or lunch/dinner/drinks a few of the days! I'm happy to share whatever skills I might have :)
