About Me

I am a friendly and tolerant by nature; I hardly have strong opinions an any issue. I love Math and puzzles. I am a big fan of football and tennis. I like to think I am a good teacher.

I travel to different countries in pursuit of sport experiences (along with visiting the famous tourist places and amazing couch-surfing hosts!)- I've watched the French Open, US Open, Football World Cup in Russia, the Davis Cup in France, and of course to the Camp Nou. Barcelona is already an amazing city and with the Camp Nou and the culture of Football, it is just unbeatable! To see you've read about your host before sending a request, mention "Visca el Barça" in your request to me :P I also blog about my sport-travel experiences here: https://fantastic128036.blogspot.com

In future, I plan to work in Africa as an economist and hopefully, use my skills to provide solutions to the problems faced by developing/ under-developed countries there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was a student and hardly had the finances to travel, I used to have pen pals. Couchsurfing, I feel, is a natural extension. Since I am travelling a lot now, Couchsurfing is an integral part of my life :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Not much of a music fan- open to any style

Movie: I can recollect Shawshank Redemption right now

Books: Many, Harry Potter was my favourite as a kid!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've once managed to help five orphan girls pass their Mathematics exam by teaching them for two months. It is an experience I shall never forget.

I'd watched Rafael Nadal win La Decima at Paris; I've also "accidentally" met him at JFK airport and got an autograph of Rafa, his coaches Carlos Moya and Toni Nadal, his parents and his physio too! I think it was not an accident because I so wanted his autograph for years :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can discuss almost anything under the sun but I can add greatly to the quality of the discussion if it is about sport/ sportstars (particularly football or tennis) or if it is about puzzles.

I'd love to hear about any city from its residents

What I Can Share with Hosts

Almost everything possible!

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Russian Federation, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

India, Spain
