ABOUT ME

I love travelling and exploring new places. Love good food, art, wildlife, the outdoors. Born in Finland, grew up in The Netherlands, then moved to Scotland for my BSc, now moving to England for my PhD. I'm interested in orangutan and peat swamp forest conservation and have been spending my past two summers in Borneo. I love Indonesia, and will be going back this year for my PhD research! I'm pretty laid-back and laugh a lot! I love meeting new people and sharing good stories!

I want to live my life doing what I love, and I'm the happiest when I'm in a forest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eating my lunch in the middle of the Bornean rainforest, with an orangutan and her newborn son sitting in the tree above me (and enjoying their own lunch). It was an amazing moment, one to make you pause and enjoy how good life can sometimes be!
