I live and host in Corvallis, OR. It's a small town of about 50,000 with not many travellers but we are 2 hours south of Portland, and 4 hours south of Seattle.

These days I work a lot, but I would love to make time for a couch surfer. I can show you the sights in Corvallis (it's a small college town so mostly just bars) and give you some suggestions for day trips in the area.

I have a comfortable house with a spare bedroom and bathroom for guests. I have cats!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had wonderful experiences and met the best people ever on CS. I surfed in Argentina, Mexico, Taiwan and Thailand, and hosted a bit in the USA and Taiwan. This was all around 2009-2013 and I haven't hosted or surfed since. Looking to see if this website still works!

I have been shown amazing hospitality and generosity by couch surfing hosts and even their families and friends. I owe all my best traveling experiences to wonderful CS users.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: anything with a woman SINGING her heart out. Shakira, Aretha, Tina, Jazmine Sullivan, Dolly, Erykah, Kate Bush, Beyonce...

Favorite Book: A Confederacy of Dunces and anything P.G. Wodehouse are my all-time favorites. These days I'm filling in some gaps in my education by reading historical nonfiction.

I dropped out of two graduate schools! I'm a licensed electrician.
