About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To change the world.
ABOUT ME
I never know where to start with these. I guess I'll start here: I grew up with 4 older brothers, so am very used to having lots of people in my house and/or life.
If you have something in your teeth I will tell you.
I will think about getting a tattoo for a few months and then randomly decide to actually get it one night when I'm bored.
I believe in people, and I like it when things like this website come to my attention and completely reaffirm it. Its nice to be reminded.
I love people, everything about us.
PHILOSOPHY
Be the change you want to see in the world.
How is anyone else supposed to believe you if you don't even follow your own views?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted and finally got to surf one of my surfer's couches! It was great!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I guess I've been active, indirectly, in the Couch Surfing movement ever since I had a couch to surf. I am always offering it to anyone who needs it. I love having people stay with me, so any friends, acquaintances, bands I know, family, who need a place to stay on their way through Chicago come to me. And if they don't I offer it anyway.
Interests
Life. I know it sounds cliche and lame, but its true. Everything about life, the ups and downs, the motivations, the ideas, everything. I love it.
More specifically, though... I love music, anything done well and/or with feeling, but mostly indie rock-ish. I love poleroid pictures... with kind of an intense passion. I love tea with milk and sugar, and snacks. I love crossword puzzles and word games pretty severely (Its the home-schooler in me). I love reading and learning about new things. And people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Gah, this question is so hard.
Movies: Wes Anderson is pretty marvelous. The Jaguar Shark scene in The Life Aquatic is beautiful. Little Miss Sunshine; Three Amigos; Roxanne (Steve Martin version); Fight Club; I swear whoever wrote the movie Saved had to have gone to my high school, because it was eerily similar.
Music: I grew up on Weezer (Blue album), Radiohead and Bach. I love to dance to Justin Timberlake, Ratatat, Gossip, and Queen. Muse, Cat Power, Radiohead, the Beatles, and Modest Mouse inspire me. And you can NEVER go wrong with some Bowie.
Books: I just re-read Ender's Game... god I love that book. I have a strange obsession with Pride & Prejudice. I am a Harry Potter Nerd. I love J.D. Salinger (Franny and Zooey is probably my favorite), and Ayn Rand changed my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is a tall order of a section. I've done lots of amazing things, but most of them are pretty every day things, you know?
I got to meet Graca Machel when I was in Mozambique. And then when I came to London I got to see her again, but this time Nelson Mandela (her husband) was with her for the unveiling of his statue in Parliament Square. That was aright too.
Teach, Learn, Share
Oh my. Just from this section's heading I'm excited about the prospects of this community. Like, so excited I almost had a spasm because I couldn't handle it, but not in a bad medical way. Just an excited way.
I would love to learn how to DJ. And Tango. And everything. But we'll work on those two for now.
What do I have to teach? I could teach you some Ballet, a little Opera, and how to make delicious breakfast (but I am by no means a cook). And if you ever want to talk about anything I will always listen and do my best to help figure something out.
I will share my home, my friends, my food, my life with you while you're here if you share your stories with me. I love stories.
