About us:

Hi! We are Sara & Nacho, a young couple from Spain who want to see world and meet new people.

We are both musicians (accordionist and guitarist). Our passion is music of course, we love art, traveling, having fun, cooking (we make a very good "Tortilla española" so you can demand it lol!) and of course discover places and meeting new friends all around the world... We are very social, so if you love to share experiences and have great conversation... We are that kind of people! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing because we LOVE traveling and meeting people. It's essential for us discover new countries, cities, new cultures and, over all, new friends and interesting people...
That's the most important for us, having a great time with you!

Interests

SARA -> I'm accordionist doing my last year of university studies in Lausanne, Switzerland (Erasmus+) so speak in English/French/Spanish is not a problem for me!
I play classical music but i love pretty much folk and traditional. As information, I think that "Queen" is the better group in history... I'm really addicted to Mexican food (really, I have a problem), i love pretty much drawing, reading, traveling, and having adventures to tell to the world! It's essential for me to see new places... that kind of places that you think: "WOW.", without words.
I'm always smiling (life is beautiful!), and I consider that I'm a calm person, but I need to move and enjoy new experiences.
Well, as a summary: Give me tacos, an accordion, and a good conversation, and we can be friends :)

NACHO -> I'm a guitarist from Madrid, but my life is in La Coruña (where I study guitar at the university) and El Bierzo (you're welcome to come!!). I'm 25 years old and my passion and lifestyle is music, the blues, the jazz... There's something better than that?
I play the electric guitar but also spanish guitar, acoustic, cigar box... and i still searching to learn how to play a lot of strings instruments! I must say that BSO's loses my mind... Now I'm studying to arrange music and do BSO's for films, and i continue with guitar of course. I've worked this time too like a Freelance musician, playing at groups and spectacles in Madrid and Orchestras in Galicia.
I like chess, go to concerts, and going for a beer with friends ("caña y tapa" in spanish... search for it!).
It's really interesting for me to meet new and amazing people and share a lot of experiences. I want to try new food around the world, explore the cities, the mountains and the sea... I think that travel through the world is the better thing that I can do now.

Music, Movies, and Books

SARA -> Queen, Aerosmith, Richard Galliano, Franck Angelis, J.S Bach, Astor Piazzolla, classical music, folk/traditional music... One thing that I would LOVE is to discover new popular songs of every country, so if you know a traditional song of your country it would be amazing to learn it!

NACHO -> My top guitarists are Robben Ford, Bill Frisell, Eric Clapton... I like very much rock too (Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen...) and of course, BSO's (as an example:"Avatar" BSO is really amazing) I think that Alan Mencken, James Horner, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer... They are the kings of movies music (of music in general). I can't finish without saying these master's names: Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Christian, Miles David, John Coltrane... And I like pretty much Funk too. If you don't know this group, you have to hear it: Snarky Puppy.

We like pretty much reading biographies, TV series (Breaking Bad, Shameless, GOT, TBBT, Jane the Virgin...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sara -> Two years ago, I won the third prize in the accordion contest "Petro Pablowsky Assemblei" in St. Petersburg, Russia. I was pretty nervous but it was an incredible experience. Now I'm studying in Switzerland for a year and it's a great and good change for me... I think too that see the Alps everyday is like a dream (and cheese and chocolate, OMG!!!!)

Nacho -> One the most important thing that i've done ever, and i'm really proud of it, it was searching for my dream of being a musician... without having an easy way to do that. But i did it.
Nowadays I'm sure that music is not only my passion... Is my life, and i want to learn as much as possible about this amazing and musical world. I dream one day i will compose a great arrangement for orchestra (kind of BSO for a movie or for a big concert), or touring all around the world with my guitar, my group, make SOLD OUT's at theaters for hearing my concert... That would be truly amazing.
