Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I have long dreamt of making a pennyless trip
ABOUT ME
Just a common man. An engineer, made a few documentaries, loves traveling, trekking and most importantly listening to new stories.
PHILOSOPHY
Borrowed philosophy works good for me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about this website from one of my university senior, and took on an instant liking to this idea
Interests
I am almost interested in learning anything new.
Recently I have been learning the violin.
I scribble on some gibberish and wish to call those poetry.
A movie buff, an avid follower of many directors.
Then I should state my interest on football, almost crazy about that sport like most others from Kolkata, a huge admirer and fan of ARSENAL, AJAX and the DUTCH NATIONAL TEAM.
Interested in trekking and rock climbing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There has definitely been some unique things that I have done, but for this forum I would really like to share one special incident. Do give this one a read, an excerpt from one of my writing/ranting about a travel experience
a rare experience was playing football with local nepali children at a strange rugged dirt ground at syafrubesi, almost 20 of them playing against 6 of us, some were barely half our age and others even smaller, obviously the match was only for fun and they made it official announcing as INDIA vs NEPAL .... the atmosphere was such that we all forgot about anything remotely related to the present spinning world and it was a dream land, the football match ended mid way and then we had to satisfy them with some mock "WWE" moves, some silly tricks i had mastered years back with my younger brother pleased them in the same way, i could see their smiling eyes ... soon the Indians had to enact the hrittik roshans and salman khans, krish 3 and all that. The match resumed suddenly [ no rest to our legs already sore from trekking] this time it was even more serious matter and we were filled with chants of
"Futega thermos // India nervous" ....
"Twinkle twinkle little star// Nepal is the superstar"
that uncharacteristically followed a dirt climbing competition and it was a sight to behold,, little kids jumping out of no where climbing up and down effortlessly and suddenly most of us followed suite ...
the match, frolic and fun ended ...well actually the daylight vanished and the sun sank beneath the mountains, it had seen a lot of those beautiful faces as another tireless day passes by and i promise the last traces of its ray were smiling, it lingered on to the mountains the clouds and the near by tall tree leaves, but even the moon wanted to witness this, she peeped barely visible in her silver dress and smiled amidst some calculated planetary motions and the stars winked ... as if saying the shooting star granted your wish... be a good child and go to bed for the stories
the next morning we were about to leave, the last bus had blowed its horn and thus while hurrying out of our lodge, we chanced across one of those kids, we called out his name and bade him goodbye , i don’t remember how i ran on to the bus and what exactly followed, i just remember gazing at a lone cloud strip that stayed happily at the heart of the vast mountain and forgot to re-unite with his fairy friends. i gazed, stared, thought over and over again and all that i remember was those bright faces .... coming back to the city being greeted by horns and hoots and the festivities around in kolkata i yet could not see a face that bright, the vibes and energies have been all soaked in by the LEDs, the electronic mike sounds have drowned those laughter and the city lights have outshone the setting sun, the coy moon and those little pairs of eyes
