ABOUT ME
Since launching into medical school / residency training I haven't had as much time to travel or host unfortunately, but CS memories have definitely impacted who I am and how I travel for the better. I had the privilege to study at University of Washington in Seattle and spend a semester on exchange at Copenhagen University, which allowed me to become acquainted with the city and other parts of the fairy tale country of Denmark and some parts of Europe. Before that I taught English in Taiwan for a summer and did some backpacking in Ecuador. In the coming days and years I hope to balance my studies with as much travel and quirky activities as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
Seek out experiences that open my mind and help me become a better person or at least more aware, and hopefully have a similar effect on others.
If you're bored, you're boring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had wonderful experiences with CS. I've had the privilege to meet some fantastic and generous people and gain more access to cultures than I would have by staying in hostels/hotels. I love the more immediate familiarity between people that CS catalyzes and the social networks it builds. To me CS is more about meeting interesting people than a free couch.
99.9% of my experiences through CS have been fantastic, though I've had a few uncomfortable experiences on CS as well...I try not to pass judgement on others, but using CS as a venue for sexual encounters is definitely not my intention here.
