About Me

CURRENT MISSION

...wholesomeny wholesomeness...

ABOUT ME

Hmmmmmm, I like chilling out, listening to music, wriggling my toes in sand, resting in hammocks, being under water, drinking beer in the sun, making and then eating food and going to beaches.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to keep it simple: treat others how you'd like to be treated yourself

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How do I participate? I've hosted people at home, and my brother has been hosting people at our house for a couple of years now. Now I am doing the occasional tour de Auckland for visitors or the newly arrived.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted, surfed, explored and enjoyed time with many fellow CSer's

Interests

Music, the beach, some sports and relaxing with friends, summer, scooters, bicycles and travelling of course!
Last year I finished studying Health Promotion which I really enjoyed, I like learning about the different ways that people can be/feel healthy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like just about any kind of music that can get my shoulders bopping (is that a word? it makes sense to me...). So I listen to lots of different music Indie, Old Rock, Reggae, Drum and Bass, Dub Step, 'World Music'. What I'm listening to at the moment: Iva Lamkum, Julien Dyne, Pacific Heights, Mamaku Project (all NZ music), Lisa Mitchell, Joanna Newson, Neil Young, TV on the Radio, Vampire Weekend, Cold War Kids, Gotan Project, Bright Eyes, Nina Simone, Beirut, Both of the great Bobs, Manu Chao, Beuna Vista Social Club, Cat Power, Otis Reeding and Thievery Corporation.

I tend to like funny movies, because when I'm watching movies it's my time off - time to turn off my brain and not have to think. But I also love movies that are unpredictable, that force your mind to think, contradiction, I know..

A great book I read recently was Birds without wings, it was amazing and began my love for Turkey. Other books I've enjoyed include The Road, Time Travellers Wife, Caramelo, A Thousand Splendid Suns and I've just started The Shock Doctrine

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many amazing things!! Though I think the moments that I am truly awestruck and usually caused by the most simple things..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach baking: I love all types of cooking and food but I find that my baking comes out best most of the time, and berry sorbets.
