About Me

It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. Mine is one of discovery, and adventure. One that takes me to different corners of the world to wake up in places that are yet unknown to me.

I see people live, laugh and love and I live with them, I laugh with them and I love them - the colours of their clothes, their houses, the soil they stand upon, the smell of their food, the markets, the flowers that greet them at dawn, and the sounds of their drums, their steps, the rivers they dance along.

You showed me beauty, joy and happiness, without you even knowing it. You extended my senses to experience the world, like I never did before. And do you want to know what it feels like?

COME WITH ME!

… to explore and embrace different ways of life trying to live like the locals do - it can be difficult to make it right immediately, but then, try again! - cook some rice in a bamboo stick. Ride a naughty elephant. Dance until the sunrise. Get advice from a local shaman. Be kawaii on purikuras. Attend colourful wedding banquets. Experience a street art treasure hunt. Make friends with hyenas, and what not.

Because yes, travelling to me is all about passing through someone else’s reality. And at the end of the day, smiling is the universal language that all people speak.

On a more serious note... I am a writer, photographer, documentary filmmaker and researcher with a passion for arts and culture, and a strong interest in socio-economic challenges and development. I have had the chance to live in a couple of countries including Belgium, the UK, Indonesia and Rwanda, and travel extensively. I look forward to meeting some of you soon!
