About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the ways I can best connect with others in global struggles for justice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf, host, and participate in CS events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some of my best friends in the world through the couchsurfing communities in Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2011. I've now surfed couches in the USA, Israel, the Palestinian West Bank, Jordan, Turkey, and Brazil!

All my surfing and hosting experiences have been amazing adventures, and I love the CS mentality.

Interests

I like to be physically active, and I prefer to bike as my main mode of transportation in addition to dancing, jogging, and playing sports. I volunteer as a high school soccer coach in my spare time.

Reading and writing are also activities I enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy music and films of the languages and cultures I am trying to learn. I also enjoy documentaries, books, and conversations more than mainstream movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Like so many CouchSurfers, I can’t choose just one!

Trekking through the mountains of northwest Thailand,
Hang gliding in Rio, Brazil,
Sleeping under a meteor shower in the Negev Desert, Israel,
Hot Air Ballooning in Cappadoccia, Turkey,
3-day Boat Trip down the Amazon River in Pará, Brazil

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an Anthropology PhD student and work as an English as a Foreign Language teacher and trilingual translator.

I want to learn Afro percussion, new cooking recipes, and the native language of wherever I am. I try to learn something new every day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My enthusiasm, sense of humor, empathy, and respect for people of all backgrounds

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, Guatemala, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Palestine, Portugal, Thailand, Turkey
