About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live through the art of experiencing life by meeting new people, immersing oneself in new cultures, and falling in love with places once unknown.
ABOUT ME
I absolutely love meeting new people. I especially love meeting them organically - out in nature, at the bar, on a run, etc. I thrive on being outdoors when not working or studying - cycling, climbing, hiking, camping, running, tennis, and just smelling the flowers.
I am constantly striving for self improvement and love when others help me recognize things to work on. I was just accepted to a Masters program in Geography that incorporates 2 years of service in the Peace Corps and I'm looking forward to starting that this fall.
PHILOSOPHY
Personal philosophy.. What a question.
I think that everyone has vast potential. And I also believe that each person's potential can slowly be attained just by interacting with the right people. Or plants. Or whatever it is that one interacts with. We are a product of our environment but out environment is also a product of who we are. Connections are an important part of life. Without connections, where is love? Motivation? Compassion?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am happy to have you stay on my couch and to stay on yours.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience was in San Juan, Puerto Rico five years ago and I have to say it was love at first surf. I love the feeling of reciprocity that everyone has who is a part of this community. It is truly a system of paying it forward.
Interests
I love to ski (both A/T and downhill), snowshoe, ice skate, rock climb, tennis, basketball, football, soccer. I have recently fallen in love with road biking - I'm an addict now! I'm pretty willing to fall in love with any activity out there. I believe there is value in everything.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the books The Dharma Bums, Infidel, Spider Eaters, The Year of Endless Sorrow, 100 Años de Solitdud, El gringo Viejo, y todo de Borge. Me gustan casi todos los géneros.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few summers ago, I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska. I saw many incredible things there but I think my favorite was the Aurora Borealis. It really does dance! Such a playful, dancing skylight.
Teach, Learn, Share
Self discovery is a never ending process. I can teach you to tune skis, how to ski, what makes a good ski, basically anything about skis. I can help one discover how to relate to people of diverse backgrounds. I can teach you how to climb some big rock faces.I am always open to trying new things. Come show me!
