About Me

Originally from Prague, now living in Perth, Oziland. Digital & Social media freak who loves creative campaigns and cuddling cool cats. You can learn a lot about me or follow me @Ms_Shark (Twitter) or kennion_shark (Instagram).

My favourite quote:
"It's choice - not chance - that determines your destiny."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I strive to meet the real extraordinary local people and see the lifestyle of the city they live in.
I admire the idea of Couchsurfing and find it great to be able to see your own city through the eyes of the fresh traveller and make friends from all places around the world.
When I get my place in Perth finally set up, I'd like to host all the cool fellow travellers out there.

Interests

I love the incredible heat, the beach, the ocean... I enjoy a glass of good wine, eating and cooking healthy food, and I appreciate a good chat with a friend rather than going clubbing.

Other hobbies:
books, Internet, fitness, yoga, travelling, wining, healthy cooking and eating, crazy cat ladying

Music, Movies, and Books

I must admit, I'm a bit of a book whore. Sometimes I have up to 3 books in bed with me at once. :) I read a lot, from science, self-improvement books to Bryce Courtenay or Stephen King.

I love going to outdoor cinemas in summer. Sometimes I don't mind winding down with Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Flight of the Conchords or IT Crowds.

Some of my fav movies are:
That Sugar Film, Annie Hall (or anything Woody Alen) Life Is Beautiful, WALL·E , Up, How to Train your dragon, American Beauty, Amélie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Grand Budapest Hotel...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have become a bilingual dual citizen and made my life feel like two :).

- Travelling New Zealand for 6 months like a gipsy
- Moved to Australia (Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!)
- Learned how to drive a bloody car at 31
- Travelled Asia for 6 weeks without getting lost
- Filled up my profile on Couchsurfing site beautifully

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some crazy Czech language or Australian slang mate, healthy (mostly vegetarian) cooking, some nutrition basics and fitness & yoga moves, basic HTML, website CMS editing...and I know a bit about Australian immigration laws having to deal with them for some years.

Or I could just share a bottle of wine with you, how about that? :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Plenty of amazing stories of a shark about travels and life in Australia & Czech land.

PS: They call me Shark in Australia as my name is actually pronounced Sharka...but no need to run away, we sharks don't bite. (We just nibble.)
