About Me

Hi there! I'm Sarra and I live in Rabat, in Morocco.

I've decided to use CS (2023) in order to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds on a deeper level. Human interaction plays a big part in my daily happiness, as I love having authentic conversations on various topics and reflecting upon other people's persectives. I would absolutely enjoy having foreigners guests from now and then :)

Also, for me, travelling is all about discovering new ways of living, thinking, and experiencing life. I've come to understand that staying with locals is the most authentic way to do that.

So glad that I discovered CS and can't wait to experience different things, make new friendships and special bonds :)

Interests

I am passionated about learning new things, trying new stuffs and definitely always down to go on an adventure !

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music, though I'm really hooked on latino and african vibes!

I love reading books about philosophy, psychology, and history! My favorites are The celestine prophecy, The power of Now, The Alchemist, Her name was Sarah, and Sophie's world.

I can watch all sorts of movies, as long as its hits me enough ! Some of the best for me were "Pulp fiction", "Fight club", and "What dreams may come"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In April 2022, I did a workaway in a small village near Kathmandu, in Nepal. The village was quite destroyed from the Earthquake (2015). They needed our help in all kind of things, like building, carying rocks, painting, harvesting, planting, cleaning, taking care of kids, cooking, etc.. It was a daily hard work, but extremely gratifyingas well ! I stayed in a farm with 6 other volunteers, hosted by an adorable Nepalese family ! It was such a beautiful experience sharing with all these different people from all over the world, with so many different cultures, beliefs, backgrounds, and stories! Definitely one of the best thing I ever did :)

Also did an exchange in Brazil for a month, were I got to live with a sweet Brazilian family in Recife. Took every chance I had to grab a bag and travel on my own in the country! Got to meet lots of great people and live so many adventures, not always safe though :D

After 2 weeks traveling in Mexico with a friend, I decided randomly to take an 8 hours night bus to explore the rest of the country on my own. I had nothing booked at all and got stolen nearly all my money immediately when I arrived to Mexico city :D I lived some challenging and crazy stuff to survive for the whole couple of yeeks I had left.. Very humbling and teaching lesson too!

Went to Cuba for 3 weeks with nothing planned, a part from the decision to make a circle round of the country while moving from a hostel to another, staying with locals, and hitchhiking whenever it felt right! Going with the flow, we ended up doing more than 7 cities and met in each one 2 or 3 folks who wanted to join the group. Started with one friend and finished the trip as a huge group of 21 people!! It was really an amazing experience getting to know all of them and share our worlds during our journey together!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could tell you more about my culture, as I would love to get to know yours!

I'm very interested in yoga, meditation, and healthy nutrition! If you have some knowledge about that, I would definitely take notes!

May be I could give some good advices and tips as well :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you a cozyroom, share some meals, show you around in the city and give you some nice tips :)
Always down to go for a drink, introduce you to some friends and go have some fun !

I would actually care to get to know you and, enjoy to spend some time with you and engage in deep conversations :)
