Über mich
Hey couch surfers! I´m Sascha, 27 year old guy from Leipzig who´s been working and living in Berlin for over 3 years now. At my work as a Consultant I often travel abroad and like to explore new places while I´m away :)
I hope my profile provides you with some useful information. Ask me anything if you like!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I still have my current flat with 2 roommates in Berlin Wedding and am happy to host you for up to a couple of days :) 2 people may fit in if you like eacht other (I do not have the biggest room) :P
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience with couchsurfing is limited to one stay in Frankfurt, but it was a really positive experience. I just recently re-activated this profile and look forward to amazing new guests and hosts!
Interessen
I'm interested in a lot of stuff, and sometimes it's hard to fit all of it into my life. Nevertheless, I'm always interested in what people spend their time with every day, so I can learn about new interesting topics :) a few things I like:
- all aspects of sustainability. I'm working in that area but also I have been active in the divestment movement in Berlin and I'm continuing to attend various events on climate justice, social justice, degrowth etc. If you know something about these topics, let's have a conversation about them together; if not, I can tell you quite a bit if you like :)
- Playing guitar, mostly acoustic these days
- listening to new music
- dancing
- fitness
- concerts and festivals of all kind
- going out
- reading: mostly literature with socio-political or economic topics, but also interested in poems, self awareness and health. I'd love to exchange book recommendations or just give you some of mine! :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher
I used to listen to a lot of metal and rock things like Children of Bodom, In Flames (new and old stuff), Heaven Shall Burn, Mando Diao, System of A Down and so on. I still like it, but I have a much broader range of musical genres now, which ranges from rock and indie to pop, rap, electronic and drum and base.
Also I like all kinds of movies, with the exception of horror pieces 😅
Books: as mentioned, a lot, but mostly non-fictional.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Visiting New York City and having an unbelievable view from the top of the Empire state building at sunset.
Seeing Paris and Versailles in only 2 days (hardcore tourism)
My whole semester-abroad-experience in Antwerp.
Staying abroad in Ecuador. Just all of it. But especially helping out at Reserva Los Cedros (ask me about it!)
I have a lot of nice, crazy, weird and chaotic memories of festivals, and I hope there are a lot more to come :)
Lehren, lernen, teilen
- teaching:
I can give free German lessons, apparently :P Also, if someone´s interested in playing the guitar, I can give you some basic skills on both the electric and the acoustic. It´s always fun to play along with someone!
Insights into the climate movement of Germany, and especially into divestment
Tipps on fitness, health and nutrition
learning:
I´m interested in a lot of stuff from photography to acting, singing, languages and many other things, so I can´t be too specific here :)
always interested to practice some Spanish!
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I can offer good conversions about everything that I've mentioned above, and an open mind to new topics. If you're a person that likes to talk openly and without prejudices about ideas, concepts and different ways of living, we'll sure get along great ;)
Also you can ask me about all the mentioned hobbies, interests and activities! :)
