Worked in 2, lived in 3 and traveled 5 continents. I love to travel, see new places, meet new people, try new food.

PHILOSOPHY

People are good. The world has so much to offer. Open your eyes, your heart and your mind. I am always surprised to find myself so enriched by meeting new people, seeing new places and learning new things.

Work as you would not need the job.
Dance as nobody would watch you.
Love as you never have been hurt.

One often finds his destiny in the path he takes to avoid it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After working almost 20 years in Banking I decided its time for a break. I started my travels around the world in early 2009. During that time I learned about CS. I am happy to now profit from it, and will gladly return my couch offering as soon as I have settled after my big journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In a couple of countries I have met lovely people offering their house as a base for a couple of days. Good friendships have been grown out of these moments.

Interests

People, Sports, Good Food, Philosophy, A chilled beer at the beach watching the sunset. I love animals. Hiking is fun. Diving is one of my favorite travel hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Movies, almost only listen to World Music (Irish the most). I only read non fiction books. Novels put me to sleep.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pretty much this world tour is summing up the highlight of my life. Seeing children play in Vietnam sitting on the back of a waterbuffalo in the ricefields.... amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I took surfing lessons in Bali. Cooking lessons in Vietnam. Massage certification in Thailand. Speaking four languages helped me a lot.
