ABOUT ME
I`ve been fascinated by different cultures all my life: I travelled through the US, studied North-American literature, spend almost two years in Portugal, some time in Spain and, recently, started to work as a freelance journalist and editor in the field of Tourism and Travel.
For me, getting to know a place doesn't necessarily mean seeing all the sights and going to famous cafés. My primary interest are always the locals: How does it feel to live in a certain city? What do people here do for a living, what do they do to relax, what do they think about their city, their country, themselves?
It's the cultural differences that interest me. Them and the realization that we are nevertheless all the same in a way.
I think CouchSurfing is a wonderful idea because it facilitates exactly that - the contact between people who think similarily.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to surf, especially in Eastern Europe, since it's a part of the continent I don't know too well.
I would offer, on the other hand, my couch in Berlin, suggestions where to go and - if my time allows it - I would like to show you around town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
only good ones.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: Almost all Wes Anderson films, "A bout de Souffle" by Godard, "8 1/2" by Fellini, most films by the Coen Brothers and PT Anderson and some German / Austrian ones: "Sonnenallee" ,"Gespenster" and "Indien"
Music: bands that blend rock and electro like BrokenSocialScene, Apostle of Hustle, Atlas Sound.
Also classical singer/songwriter stuff and, besides that, I really started to like music from Mali.
Literature: I can't exactly say why but I really like Jewish-American writers. Favourite book is Saul Bellow's "The Adventures of Augie March"
