About Me
Half Japanese, Half American on another adventure! Grew up in San Francisco, CA and love hosting folks here, showing them my hometown through the eyes of an ever more rare local.
Always making art, photographing, studying sociology + architecture and looking to meet new people. Photographer, muralist, community organizer, activist, queer, chef, and boogie enthusiast (especially soul//r&b//funk). Recently re-falling in love with music and playing/singing again!
Interested in food production//ingredients//permaculture, especially as related to heritage, sustainability, and local/seasonally sourced.
Teacher of art + gardening by profession.
Value good chats and; honest, empathetic, + challenging idea sharing above all else~
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been couch surfing with friends since 2010. Whether road tripping across the United States or hitchhiking through Europe, CS is a great way to meet locals and kindered spirits and to see the city, town, or village through their eyes. Met some beautiful souls along the way, made friends, and learned. What more could you want from a community? I believe in a ~true~ gift economy (i.e. uber is not it!) and that, when we are lucky enough to have we should share. The world can be abundant if we let it~

What I Can Share with Hosts
A meal is my favorite way to share and get to know someone. Let's exchange recipes or go out for a bite in your favorite neighborhood/cafe.
I always have a collection of scrap material for collaging with me - promised myself to make instead of buy postcards to send to loved ones back home. Happy to share and make art together.
Inspired chats and good time.
