About Me

Hi traveling peeps! I'm a Georgia native but moved to Denver for work - I'm an analyst by trade. Really enjoy getting to know new people, preferably while exploring or doing something I've never done so this should be fun!

I live with my partner and 3 other roomies. My partner is a couchsurfer as well: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ben.pingilley

We're traveling quite a bit this summer so I've updated my profile to Not Accepting Guests for now.

If you visit us in Denver, Colorado, know that you'll most likely get involved in climbing and / or a social justice cause that we're involved in (either racial justice, immigrant rights, food justice or climate justice). And song will most likely be involved. Also, please include my secret word kitten in a couch request.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a sharer and I love when others are willing to do the same.

Interests

When alone, I prefer to be reading or listening to music and dancing with my cat but I'm very rarely alone.

Most of my interests lately have centered around understanding the systems in which we live and my role as a black person and as an activist.

Hiking is a love that Colorado fully supports.

I have very eclectic music tastes - music swapping is one of my favorite things to do, along with sitting on some patio with a beer, listening to someone with a guitar.

Other loves - theater, travel, cool coffee shops, wine exploration, languages, social justice work, and most things adventurous. Well, except spiders. No spider play during the visit.

I know A LOT about console games but am horrible at playing! I much prefer to watch someone else play while I search gamefaqs ;-)
Some of my favorites: all of the God of War games, Red Dead Redemption, all of the Uncharted games, most of the Zelda games, Mario Galaxy (I'll be the star!), Skyrim, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus, Portal (I'll play this one!) and most games with an interesting story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in the middle of the Sahara Desert on a mattress with a sheet; woke up and climbed to the top of a sand dune to see the sun rise.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my experience in the activism community, especially in the racial justice space. I would mostly like to learn about the experiences of others.

If you're learning English or know Spanish, I would love to teach and learn!
