What up, surfers!

My name is Sasha, and I am originally from the Far East of Russia. (Still love the rhyming! Those who are into Russian poetry will understand ;) )

Although I grew up in Russia, I also was a product of an international family, being born in Azerbaijan back when it was still a Soviet Union to an Armenian and Russian parents. For the past 12+ years I've been living abroad. My international journey began in Canada, outside of the beautiful Victoria, British Columbia. I was very fortunate to be admitted to an international boarding school, Pearson College. The two amazing years have changed my life forever, and the experience led me to receive a full scholarship to attend Westminster College (Fulton, MO) in the U.S., and then go on to completing my MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, GA. I've also made a 3-year pit stop in Pittsburgh, PA in between my studies and have a deep loving connection with that city to this day.

I am currently teaching art the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and host my own Life Drawing events.

Besides academic and professional pursuits, I am fascinated by psychology and spirituality, and anything that concerns unlocking the human potential for living a fulfilling and vibrant life. I love meeting new people and connecting with them on a soul level, which probably explains why I mostly draw portraits :)
