Overview
About Me
I am a curious person who rather than "just travelling" loves to live in a country and get to know it with their local culture. I lived and studied in Germany, Belgium and Italy. I travelled through Europe and worked e.g. as an English teacher or an auditor of medical devices. Last year, I replaced the office job with volunteering and humanitarian aid work and moved to Bosnia and Hercegovina to help migrants on the Balkan route. After the war in Ukraine started, I continued to help refugees in Czechia until September 2022 when I got the opportunity to move to New Zealand for a year and explore the other side of the planet :) so here I am, always a curious person to learn the life of others, get inspired, learn new things, and share meals and experiences :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because getting to know a country through locals is much more than reading a guide in a hostel

Music, Movies, and Books
My music play-list has many hours. From classic rock and metal over jazz to classical music.
Movie classics. Like Tarantino or Jim Jarmush. Tim Burton or Scorsese. Studio Gibli or Greta Gerwig.
Books from Richard Bach, Boris Vian, Kurt Vonnegut, G. G. Márguez, Jorge Orwell, W. Styron, W. Saroyen...since university I unfortunately replaced books by scientific papers and I'm trying to find my way back to them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
started to listen to my body and my needs
