About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Never say no to trying something new
ABOUT ME
I am a 24-year-old flight attendant in Canada who craves new knowledge and experiences. I love to learn and to teach all that I have to offer. I speak fluent English and French (and studied both in University), and after my travels to Spain I have started to learn Spanish as well. I am always open to new perspectives and really enjoy seeing things from someone else's eyes.
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness is not a destination, it's a state of mind. As cliché as this sounds, I really try and live by it. I frequently find myself (like many others), thinking that once I receive or achieve certain things, I will be truly happy, but of course that is not the case. I need to learn to be happy in everyday situations with the people in my life who are closest. Until this reaction to life becomes natural to me, I will use this as my "personal philosophy" to keep me going and to help me appreciate the things I already have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined the site while living in Spain and it has been a lifesaver when looking for places to stay in Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Madrid. I very much appreciate the "Last Minute Couch Request" groups and all the people who responded to my desperate posts and offered up a place to stay. In September I'll be back it the lovely city of Ottawa and can't wait to return the favours by offering up my couch to others!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed for my very first time in Amsterdam and had the experience of a lifetime. After that weekend, I knew that couchsurfing was just right for me! Now I frequently meet up with other travellers and locals in Madrid and plan to host others when I return home. The thing that I will miss most about living abroad is meeting new people constantly. I hope that the couchsurfing community will ensure that I will never have to give that up!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving and riding my motorcycle. Both offer such a thrill and rush of adrenaline. Overcoming your fears is so important to me and just taking every possible opportunity to do something you never thought you'd do before.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can offer lessons in English and French or tours around the places I've been and lived and would love the same! I want to learn all about different languages and cultures. I'd love to learn to play the guitar. I want to learn all about the things that are important in your life, the talents you have. Brownie points to those who can practice my Spanish, Dutch, or French with me or any new language I have decided to take up.
