ABOUT ME

hello im sasha. i study english at a university in london and have lived here since september. im interested in polotics and have stood for the green party (a left-wing party)and am thinking about standing as a paper candidate in the general elections for my home town. living in london and being at a rather politically active uni, allows me to get involved in all sorts of campaigns and talks. i try to fill my time with these things, the subjects varying from israel and palestine, to climate change and anti capitalism. i believe i am a friendly and caring person, and i love meeting new people. i think i often meet more of myself when i meet others. though im stuck in my course right now i make time for travel, seeing new sights and meeting new faces is a brilliant way of learning about myself and others. i love reading and cooking also, and just sitting and talking with friends for hours about everything and anything.

PHILOSOPHY

i want to ideally live in a society where people can live and depend on one another. rather than the often sad, depressing, oil and capitalist western societies we live in today. if my future job will pay for the luxuries in the world, then that is no job for me. i think the best things in life, are those that are free.

i am completely new to this. but as soon as i am out of my halls, and in a house, i will certainly host people. i think its a wonderful idea, and id love to show people london.

i love french, russian and english 19th and 20th century literature. i enjoy talking about psychology and philosophy, world issues and having a good old sing and dance :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

one thing that springs to mind is that me and my girlfriend recently hitchiked across iceland. that was truly magical.
