Overview
About Me
I suppose many people think they're full of contradictions, but here are some of mine: I'm a graduate in literature/poetry (so yes, a poet!) but try to be reasonably practical, a former student of comparative/world religion who's fascinated by the spiritual but fairly cynical, a lover of the past who's enjoying much of modernity but somewhat conflicted about it as well (well, aren't most of us?)
If you want a list of adjectives: Open-minded, intellectual, curious, thoughtful, serious-but-whimsical, quiet-but-chatty
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Courchsurfing appeals to both my nomad side and my homebody side: what I like best about traveling is getting a feeling for what it's like to really live and have roots somewhere else in the world.
Interests
I love poetry, learning languages, reading of all kinds, dancing! (particularly social dancing like blues), hiking (currently gentle hiking, as I had a pretty bad knee injury), long conversations about the meaning of life and everything in between.
