ABOUT ME
AWARE AND AWAKE
lively, tactful, tidy
I see the world as given here: instagram.com/sasha.yatsyna
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
meeting new people, sharing experiences is, perhaps, the most common answer, but the most truthful, anyway! I love to practice new languages in real life, not just from books. I am genuinely interested about the cultural and personal background of people from various origins
Interests
My passions are languages, storytelling and dancing. Throughout the course of my life I've become raw vegan because I feel the best when I eat that way. However, at the same time I am totally accepting and tolerant towards all types of eating, enjoy sharing a meal with my friends and cooking for them, whatever that might be ❤💙💚💛💜
I love the Swedish concept called LAGOM (balance in everything without extremes) and the Danish concept of HYGGE (happiness NOW, happiness in the small, usual things). I am very much into minimalism and zero waste, recycling, upcycling and local-based consumption
I love to challenge my body with new physical activities: marathons, yoga, boxing, volleyball, pilates and, of course, dancing of all sorts.
I am a long-time blood donor in Kyiv (III+), zero waste enthusiast and Circus Without Animals Activist.
PLEASE NOTE there is one negative comment on me left by a girl we had a misunderstanding with, she doesn't associate me with that opinion anymore and said she encourages people to turn to her for her current real opinion of me, which is positive))) I am glad to have found her as a friend! ❤

Music, Movies, and Books
all works by Erich Fromm (I consider him a true genius of the XX century), everything by Ekhart Tolle, Chekhov's short stories, Breakfast at Tiffany's (the book), In Time (the movie), The Catcher in the Rye, Limitless (the movie). Fan of Marie Kondo and her KonMari system
Depeche Mode, Chet Faker, Azealia Banks, Kendrick Lamar, ambient and minimalist music, some of the jazz: Chris Potter, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davies
love the work of Louis CK, Dave Chapelle, Issa Rae, Joe Rogan and Amy Schumer
enchanted by the work of a contemporary Russian writer who goes by the name Viktor Pelevin. His books border on critique of consumerism, on mythology and psychology of masses
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ºbungee jumped (from height of 26 meters)
ºparaglided
ºspent a day in Sahara desert with the local Berber tribe
ºposed in flesh-colored lingerie for artists who drew human body
ºdue to an accident, spent 5 days without eyesight - blind, actually. Understood a lot about the world around us and our perception thereof
another time, I fasted for 16 days (just water), it was amazing, and very liberating ♡

a quiet harbor to get a rest from the tumultous sightseeing and partying, a cup of nice hot tea or coffee, a place to sleep and, more importantly, a place to wash your clothes 🤗
